High School


The Academy high school is on a 4X4 semester block schedule with the fourth block split into two sessions to accommodate year round Fine Arts courses such as band and choir.  Students take eight credits per year and have an expanding selection of Fine Arts electives to compliment core academic subjects.  WOGCA graduation course requirements follow the admission requirements for prospective candidates in the UNC system.  Students must complete the following courses for graduation:

Four Credits of English

Four credits of Math including Three Math Credits beyond Algebra 1

Three Credits of Science,

Three Credits of Social Science

Two Credits of Foreign Language

Four Credits of Bible including Senior World View, Two Credits of Fine Arts

Health

Computer

Leadership, and

Eight elective credit hours.

Honors and advanced classes are available. 

Completion of 31 credits are required for the class of 2017 and beyond.
